 Patient Service Representative Essential Job Duties:

Confers with physicians, coordinators, patients and other support members to schedule patients for sleep studies

Confirms patient appointments

Instruct new patients in completion of medical history and information forms

Maintain patient database, electronic medical record (EMR) system and schedules

EMR experience highly desirable

Verify patient insurance information including need for pre-authorization

Perform other duties and assignments as needed


Work Hours: Normal office hours

Educational Requirements: High school graduate. Some college preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in Healthcare customer service and insurance verification.

Excellent customer service.

Work well under pressure.

Strong data entry skills

Work on many projects simultaneously

Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Able to prioritize multiple jobs and inquiries.

Able to recognize and direct information to the appropriate healthcare provider

Works well in a team environment

Good computer software skills

 Physical Requirements for the job:

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is required to use his/her hands to operate office equipment.
